Shoot Plan for Self Portrait Window Light

Aim:  I have always loved window light and really wanted to experiment with it at some point and I feel I can add this in to this project and try to create glamour portraits at home using natural light aswell as in the studio.  I want to start off with this shoot and go around different windows taking photographs of myself and then editing them and seeing how they come out overall.  After using myself I may use one of my models and try to do some window light portraits with them also and perhaps my mum.

Lighting:  Natural window light.

Shot types:  Close up, hand held portraits of myself with different types of window light.  I want to show different light created by windows.  Possible tripod photographs.

Any extras:  I will be trying to make this as natural as possible and use subtle make-up and some jewellery.

                                            Research:

This is a beautiful, natural light shot.  I love the blacks on the sides of the photograph which frames the model.  I really want to experiment with this low key sort of natural light.

I love the way the window light highlights the model's features, especially her eyes.  This is the type of thing I want to create just in black and white.  This compared to the image above is a very high key image.  I'd like to try both low key and high key natural light photographs.
