November 11th window light shoot

Contact Sheet:

Favourites:

I really like the composition I experimented with here by shooting with a lot of negative space and keeping the necklace to the right hand side of the frame.  The depth of field accentuates the focus on the necklace to the viewer and allows the viewer to focus their attention on the photograph rather than the foreground or background.

I love how the light is bouncing of the right hand side of the necklace.

Again here I have used the negative space and composed the necklace to be at the right hand side of the frame.

Edits:

1960's look

Cinema

Colour Invert

Lomo

I think the lomo effect really compliments the necklace and with the vignetting creates an 'old' look to the photograph but I also feel it looks a little too edited which in the end makes it look too modern.

Evaluation:

I really like some of these images, especially a few of the edited ones.  I think I will be putting a few of these in my possible finals post.  The lomo effect enhances the image by vignetting around the sides.  This is probably the best still life shoot so far because of the eye level shots and use of the black material which creates a nice black background.
